27 participants from 17 countries took part in the CSR World Wide Week 2008. The MVO Platform organised this week to exchange and synchronise concepts and strategies regarding Corporate Social Responsibility. Furthermore, the MVO Platform intends to strenghten the cooperation between various CSR networks and individual organisations working on CSR issues.
The participants from North and South identified two urgent topics on which they will combine forces. They will start cooperating to improve the corporate accountability with respect to human rights, and to find solutions to the challenges of small producers in relation to the ever mounting pressure of corporate social responsibility.
