What is CSR?
The CSR Platform has adopted the following definition of CSR:
CSR is a process whereby a company assumes responsibility, across it's entire supply chain, for the social, ecological and economic consequences of the company's activities, reports on these consequences, and constructively engages with stakeholders.
CSR Frame of Reference
The CSR Platform has developed a CSR Frame of Reference. This Frame of Reference maps out which international treaties and other agreements lead to social obligations and responsibilities of companies. Examples are the Universal Declaration on Human Rights, the treaties of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and numerous environmental treaties. But also in the field of consumer protection, health, fair competition and combating corruption guidelines have been developed that should have consequences for the behaviour of companies
